On November 1st, the Equity and Human Relations Commission (EHRC) discussed the impact of the Israel-Palestine War on human relations in the city of Long Beach.
I just can’t get enough of this place, the food is fantastic and their bartenders are possibly the greatest on 2nd Street/the world. Roe Seafood is literally the perfect dining experience for seafood lovers.
Running a newspaper is much like having a sand box with the publisher being a sand box monitor. We have 15 writers involved with the Beachcomber, specializing in different areas of expertise like news, features, arts, entertainment, food, heath care, politics, finance and more.
Enough good things cannot be said about Open Sesame. This restaurant is the very definition of fantastic dining. The entire menu is a time-honored journey into international cuisine at its finest. I sincerely love this place and am probably there now!
The 2007 movie “The Bucket List,” starring Jack Nichelson and Morgan Freeman, served as my motivation to visit Italy. Thanks to some international clients in the 1980s and 1990s, I’ve enjoyed numerous trips to major world destinations – but not this Southern Europe nation-state.
The coastline of Long Beach is a wonder to behold, a true joy, we are fortunate to have such a visual luxury so close. The Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier is a great spot to walk over the ocean to see the dynamically colorful water and all the various fish caught by the locals.
There’s a rumor going around that I’m retiring from being the Beachcomber publisher in two years. I suppose it was fueled by the “Jay’s Retirement Party July 4, 2025” line at the bottom of the masthead (the box on the lower, right side of this page).
Free popcorn goes a long way in my book. A very clever amuse-bouche however, Baddeley’s Pourhouse is so much more than that. This place is really awesome.
