Belmont Shore Car Show Returns September 10th

The 32nd annual Long Beach Belmont Car Show is coming soon! This year’s car show will feature about 700 vehicles, including a wide range of hot rods, custom projects and historic cars.

This event is considered by many to be one of the biggest one-day historic car shows on the west coast. Without considering the great eateries and stores that span 14 blocks conveniently close to Second Street in the lovely Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach.

The event draws about 50,000 visitors and a variety of merchants, which makes the Belmont Shore Car Show much more to offer guests than just the breathtaking exhibition of automotive brilliance.

These local vendors will be present to display their goods and contribute to the joyful mood. These vendors were carefully chosen for their distinctive offerings. This event is a great chance to find the unique thing you’ve been looking for, from collectibles to car parts.

Several people eager to see stunning vintage cars will be able to see them on Second Street in Long Beach and several other side streets surrounding the main street the event lies on. This year’s event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but Second Street will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m. so that show cars may enter and vendors can set up.

At 4 p.m., the street will reopen. The top 50 vehicles will have signs identifying them as show winners, with prizes given out after the competition. In this region, parking is scarce. The closest possibilities are the paid beach parking lots along Ocean Boulevard. However, some parking is also offered at Mother’s Beach and Marine Stadium for those who stroll. The Ronald McDonald House of Long Beach, which supports local families affected by adolescent cancer, will receive all donations. So, let’s lend a hand to the struggling local families. This event most importantly, is free and one can grab a mobile e-ticket by taking a short trip to the Eventbrite website.

This year, there is a new beer garden at Roe Seafood, live performances by various bands such as Seatbelt, Freedom Machine and the Fifth Story Tenants and at 9 a.m., Wolf will sing an extraordinary Hendrix rendition of the national anthem in front of Chase Bank.

And throughout the day, Alley Cat Deliveries’ Robb Smith will make exhibitor award announcements. These earnings from the drawings for a wide range of gift baskets and bundles will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
