Bluff Heights Music

THE ORCHESTRA BLOCK X BLOCK performs classical tunes outside a house in the 3100 block of Vista Street in Bluff Heights on Saturday, Oct. 16. The musical group consists of Meredith Crawford (viola), Christine Frank (violin), Michael Franz (bass), Joshua Ranz (clarinet), Lelie Resnick (English horn) and Benjamin Smolen (flute). All are members of Orange County’s Pacific Symphony and are Long Beach residents. The group has performed hundreds of free outdoor concerts during the pandemic since May 2020 and adheres to COVID-19 safety measures. Donations are welcomed and help fund scholarships for student composers of color through a partnership with the Salastina Society in Los Angeles. More information can be found at lbbxb.org.
