LBCC Board Meetings Open

The Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees  resumed meeting in-person at the Liberal Arts Campus after two years of meeting virtually. 

Board meetings will continue to be streamed live online at or

Public comments given in-person will be part of the Board meeting. Written comments will be shared with the Board of Trustees, but will not be read aloud during the meeting, as this was a practice provided only at the virtual meetings during the Campus closure.

Turtle Trek

Enjoy a guided nature walk while searching for Pacific Green Sea Turtles. Naturalists will point out flora and fauna of the Los Cerritos Wetlands and lead participants to the San Gabriel River where sea turtles may be seen.

This two-hour nature walk begins Saturday, April 2nd at 8 a.m. and is appropriate for ages 7 and up. Closed toes shoes are required. Parking is available on the inland side of the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street, at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach.

Take Out Tuesday

April 5 is Take Out Tuesday and Dine In Too at Naples Rib Company, 5800 E. 2nd Street. Call (562) 439 7427 for takeout from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. or call to make dine-in reservations 4-9 p.m.

Mention that you support St. Bartholomew’s Church and Naples Rib Company will credit the church with a percentage of the proceeds. All proceeds go to local charities through the St. Bartholomew Women’s Council.
