1900 block Chestnut Ave.: At approximately 5:20 a.m. gunfire strikes parked vehicles. LBPD says reason for shooting is unknown.

November 14

Downtown & Signal Hill: A no-person-hit shooting LBPD detectives say is gang related; five juvenile suspects plus one adult suspect allegedly involved and a weapon recovered near the 800 block of E. 9th St. At mid afternoon a pedestrian flagged down LBPD officers in the area of 10th St./LB Blvd. says suspects in a nearby vehicle robbed him at gunpoint earlier that day. LBPD spots the vehicle, initiates a traffic stop but the vehicle driver allegedly refuses to yield leading to an LBPD-authorized pursuit. It ends in area of Cherry Ave/Willow St. (Signal Hill); LBPD takes five male juveniles and a man (adult) suspect into custody.

1000 block of Maine Avenue: At approximately 9:10 p.m., officers sent to a no-person-hit shooting. They find evidence of the shooting (spent casings) but no persons hit.

November 11

500 block E. Shoreline Dr./Linden Ave.: A man is shot/wounded, rounds miss hitting male juvenile with him

November 9

6300 block E. Stearns St.: 12:10 a.m., armed robbery to convenience store. LBPD says female adult victim reports male adult suspect entered with a firearm and demanded money, then fled in white van eastbound on Stearns St.

November 8

LB Blvd./Platt St. (east of LB Blvd, south of Market St.); verbal altercation between two men escalates to mid afternoon shooting

PCH/Locust: Male adult walking near the area says a silver vehicle pulled up alongside him and a male adult shot at him and fled the area. LBPD detectives believe the shooting was gang related.

November 6

300 block of West PCH: At 10:35 a.m. came reports of a liquor store employee who was assaulted and then stabbed the male adult suspect. Officers located the suspect down on the sidewalk at Pacific Coast Highway and Cedar Avenue, suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso. They began performing life-saving measures until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was identified as a 32-year-old resident of San Bernardino. The employee who stabbed the man was identified as a 51-year-old resident of Norwalk.

November 5

700 block Olive Ave., (near St. Anthony Church): Early evening gunfire strikes an unoccupied vehicle.

700 block Chestnut Ave. Midafternoon shooting. Three persons hit (two of whom are juveniles). LBPD locates and arrests three suspects (two men, one woman, all Long Beach adults).
