Cherry Ave. and Anaheim St. At 1:03 a.m., police stopped felony probate Robert James Brobst, 27, of Long Beach. A probation compliance check at his residence yielded firearms, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, drugs and narcotics intended to be sold and materials to build un-serialized firearms, all probation violations. Booked for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, other charges related to guns and drugs. Bail: $560,000.

Broadway and Pine Ave. At 1:38 a.m., an unoccupied parked vehicle matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle was near a man they suspected had stolen the vehicle a few days prior. Possessing of a large quantity of marijuana with the intent to sale, Justicee White, 26, of Carson was arrested for felony driving and taking a vehicle without consent and possession of marijuana greater than 28.5 grams. Bail: $285,000.

100 The Promenade. At 12:35 p.m., police saw Sulu Nofoaiga, a 30-year-old homelessness man allegedly masturbating in public. A brief foot pursuit, an arrest, an indecent exposure booking. Bail: $10,000.

Sunday, November 13

600 block of W. Fourth St. At 10:45 p.m., a man was hit by non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. He said he was approached by a man who shot him and foot-fled.

Monday, November 14

L.A. River at Pacific Coast Hwy. At 6:21 a.m., an unidentified body was found near the river. Traffic was impacted as the response team dealt with the remains.

Tenth St. and Pacific Ave. At 12:46 p.m., according to a Facebook post, “a French dog snatching has just occurred outside my office and the owner is devastated.”

Wednesday, November 16

1500 block of W. Willow St. At 6:19 p.m., a man and woman argued, shots fired, bystander hit with non-life-threatening injuries to the lower body. The man and woman took their argument elsewhere.

Thursday, November 17

Seventh St. and Rose Ave. At 3:20 a.m., a male adult pedestrian was killed by a westbound 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer. The a 23-year-old resident of Long Beach driver remained on scene.

Fifth St. and Maine Ave. At 7:36 p.m., a man shot at a vehicle. No injuries reported, shooter was gonzo, remaining casings telling a story.

VA Hospital grounds. At 8:20 a.m., a partially handcuffed woman was located, circumstances murky.

First St. and Roswell Ave. At 3:55 p.m., a suspicious device with wires sticking out was fixed to a less-than-suspicious parkway tree. Here’s hoping that taping a sunglasses case to a tree isn’t starting a very short sighted trend.

Friday, November 18

Pacific Coast Hwy east of Channel Dr. At 6 p.m., a DUI checkpoint: three drivers cited for having not a license or a suspended/revoked license. One driver arrested for being under the influence.

2100 Williams St. At 4:45 p.m., police assisted 64-year-old Ronald Wandersee of Long Beach for non-life-threatening upper body lacerations, then found 58-year-old Michael Marker of Long Beach with multiple stab wounds to the upper body, pronounced dead. The men knew each other, argued, Marker allegedly physically assaulted Wandersee, who stabbed Marker repeatedly. Treated at a hospital, then arrested, Wandersee was released when the coroner determined the stabbing did not cause the death.

Sunday, November 20

200 block of Shoreline Dr. A man pointed a handgun at a woman at 2:15 a.m. and ordered her out of the vehicle, then fled in the vehicle westbound on Shoreline Drive toward the Long Beach (710) Freeway.

11th Street and Loma Ave. A house fire with heavy smoke coming through the attic at 8:40 a.m. was knocked down in five minutes. No injuries reported. Neighbors said the elderly owner of the home died several months ago, leaving vacant house. Before fire department arrival, a disheveled woman tried to enter the house despite the flames, fleeing on foot. In the recent past, a few homeless were in the backyard, prompting neighbors to call police about drug use and small backyard fires.

2500 block Santa Fe Ave. At 11:34 p.m., a man went into a business, verbally disputed with another man, threatened him with a knife, discharged a firearm, fled, in that approximate order.

Monday, November 21

Pacific Coast Hwy. at Orange Ave. At 9:32 p.m., a male pedestrian crossing Pacific Coast Highway against a red light was struck by a westbound 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by a 35-year-old resident of Long Beach and died at the scene.

Tuesday, November 22

1800 block of Locust Ave. At 6:56 p.m., according to Crime Watch of LB, there was a “stabbing and the suspect is barricaded in an apartment. They just took him out and he and the woman are yelling, ‘Heil Hitler’.” Possible war history buff or an angry arrestee.

Wednesday, November 23

Long Beach Blvd. at the Long Beach River At 1 p.m., a woman carrying a Taser threatened to jump over a railing, then removed herself from danger and began talking on a cell phone. Yelling ensued.

5500 block Pacific Coast Hwy. At 6:49 p.m., a man was stabbed with non-life-threatening injuries after an argument with the stabber.

Friday, November 25

500 block of Daisy Ave. At 8:02 p.m., a man was shot in critical condition in the upper and lower body.
