LB Blvd./Anaheim St. 11:25 p.m. LBPD says juvenile shooting victim at hospital says he was walking with friends when car drives up and someone shoots at them. PD finds no crime scene at that location but victim was (obviously) hit.

July 26

Orange/Del Amo 3:20 a.m. A bicyclist riding in the Orange Ave. bicycle lane is struck and killed by a vehicle whose driver didn’t stop. Both were heading southbound, the collision occurred just north of Del Amo.

July 25

1700 block Pacific Ave. About 11 p.m., man is shot/wounded.

July 24

3300 block E. 67th St. Predawn, man is shot/wounded.

Carson St/Paramount Blvd. area (Lakewood). An especially cruel crime. Someone stole a U-Haul truck loaded with all of a young couple’s possessions. The husband says the hardest losses to accept are personal items, including pictures drawn for him and his wife by their young son, wedding photos and the like. LASD Detectives are investigating.

July 23

Long Beach Blvd. at 49th St. Gunfire confirmed with casings found but no persons hit. However, a 15-year-old boy trips and injures himself as he runs from the shots.

Anaheim/Magnolia Worker at a liquor store tries to stop a theft, grabs onto hood of suspected thief’s car; thief drives off and allegedly maneuvers to throw worker off his car; worker falls off and dies; now it’s murder investigation.

July 21

1500 block W. Summit (a few blocks east of Cabrillo High) Man is shot/wounded.

July 20

Anaheim/Walnut Midnight hour. Man is shot/wounded in Cambodia Town.

July 17

1100 block Via Wanda/Carmeliitos Housing project. Man is shot/wounded in walk-up shooting.
