Gary DePhillippo says witnesses heard multiple gunshots and said two male black adult suspects, armed with a firearm, appeared to be attempting to commit a robbery.  A short time later, officers were sent to assist LBFD responding to a shooting victim in the 700 blk of 60th Street, who said it occurred “somewhere in the downtown area.” The adult male was transported to a hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Officers determined the two events were related.
