CSULB Mascot
How about having it be “Lucifer” since this is the end goal of many conspirators of this “New World Order” like Albert Pike.
By the way, Albert Pike’s statue is sitting in DC next to the Labor Department. He was the top 33rd degree mason in the Scottish Rite and a Brigadier General of the Confederacy in charge of Indian affairs, where there were heinous atrocities and at Grand Wizard of the KKK.
Don’t know if his three world wars [prediction] was put together by him or someone else later but the end ruler is Lucifer.

LBSU is bozoville like the majority of our “higher” learning institutions these days.”Higher” is the operative word here. Truth and reality don’t matter much anymore.
Since Pete is gunsmoke and the image of the 49er, which was once known as a strong-willed, gritty, rugged individual, has now been super imposed as a euphemism for indigenous genocide is the same slight of hand utilized for many centuries by the witch-hunt, finger pointers of yore and today.

If you check online for sportswear, you will not find the mascot proudly displayed. Now just The Beach. Because of President Pete Peterson, the founder of Long Beach State, we had a mascot named Prospector Pete. The reason, because a gold mine of education started right here in Long Beach. Then you get a new president who doesn’t understand the traditions and the legend that meant a lot to those from Long Beach who attended, or their children who attended the University. The reason they want to change is wrong. No one was glorifying anyone except Pres. Pete Peterson, who brought Prospector Pete in his own image for a golden education.
So those who want to trash the mascot, don’t even know what they are talking about. When we hire from outside to run our schools here in Long Beach, we should not give them the right to demolish our heritage. Naturally, it doesn’t matter to them. Today, they are all about safe space, and catering to the uninformed, instead of those who helped make this institution possible in our city. How many know that Pete is after our founder and not an 1849 prospector?

Dear Editor:
Among the things that are important to an 81 year old alumnus are the continued viability of Medicare, the availability of my favorite snacks a Trader Joe's and the nickname and mascot of my college alma mater. Some sixty (60) years ago I attended Long Beach State College. I was a Political Science major, a member of a fraternity, and always found a parking space near the buildings that housed my classes. Some years ago, I was confronted by the name change of Long Beach State College to Long Beach State University. For some people, this was a significant event, to me, not so much. As years passed, Long Beach State University became California State University at Long Beach. Although this was not a major burden, it was a needless interruption in my lifestyle. I was still getting used to LBSU and now I had to shift gears to Cal State Long Beach and CSULB. All of these changes were incidental to my daily life, but a boon for stationary printers and emblem clothing manufacturers. Still, to me, the changes were inconvenient but livable. Now, for some allegedly politically proper but stupid reasons, the nickname and mascot for the Forty-Niners are to be changed to something politically correct, socially hygienic and purposeless such as the Sharks. Silly, Silly, Silly. I can only hope that in the near future, someone will figure out that the "49"ers" was really a great name and Prospector Pete, a great mascot and return us to the good old Forty-Niner Days.
