Culinary Kudos to Simmzy’s

I really like this place. This is where I bring my family when they come to town. The menu has something for everyone and their cheeseburgers are fantastic.

Our beloved 2nd Street in Belmont Shore has so many great options for exquisite food experiences and Simmzy’s is high on the list.

Day or night, they never disappoint, and their entire staff is friendly, professional and sincerely want you to enjoy your time with them.

Simmzy’s has a full bar and lots of cold beers on tap to accompany their wonderful appetizers and entrees. The décor and open windows makes for a comfortable eating atmosphere as a real Volkswagen bus hangs on the wall by the bar. And Long Beach loves their classic Volkswagens don’t they? Have you ever noticed how many of them you see around here? Did you ever play SlugBug in the car? Good times.

But back to Simmzy’s cheeseburgers. They have several to choose, however, their name-sake cheeseburger is a ‘must try.’ This cheeseburger ($17.50) is no joke, fat and juicy! A big beef patty with Tillamook cheddar, chow-chow onions, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli makes for a great meal.

You will really love the fries that accompany all their burgers too. I’m not even going to get started on how much I dig their pizzas.

Simply put, Simmzy’s is a time-honored go-to restaurant in Long Beach.

In closing, do yourself and the family a favor and go visit all the great people who eat and work at Simmzy’s on 2nd Street. It’s the restaurant with a Volkswagen on the roof, hilarious.
