CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY’S more than 29,000 union employees at its 23 campuses began a five-day walk-out on Monday but a tentative agreement was reached by the end of the day with the California Faculty Association. A general salary increase of 5% for all faculty is retroactive to July 1, 2023 plus another 5% this year is part of the tentative agreement, as well as raises to the salary floor for lowest-paid faculty and increased parental leave from six to 10 weeks.
