Tree of Love Raises More Than $8,000

The Tree of Love was sparkling with lights and special ornaments for Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation’s 22nd annual event!  Over $8,000 was raised to support the Auxiliary Legacy Scholarship which funds extended education for CHLB employees.   Yearly the CHLB Foundation selects deserving winners of the award, started by the CHLB Auxiliary (1962 to 2014).
 
Tree of Love each year allows donors to place a special ornament in honor of or in memory of loved ones and friends.  Each ornament is $20.  Names are listed on large posters and in programs.

Over 70 attendees enjoyed delicious hors d’eourves and a presentation by The Starlight Carolers. Fourth District Councilmember Daryl Supernaw did the official lighting of the Tree of Love.  Matthew Faulkner, executive director and Alan Anderson, board chair of the CHLB Foundation; Sheryl Howland, CHLB executive director of patient services and Pastor Michael Brown all participated in the program.

The CHLB Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) – tax ID #95-2785554. Since 1972 the CHLB Foundation, has been committed to providing funding to support outstanding medical care in support of programs and services at Community Hospital Long Beach.
