Player of the Week: YiZhi Xue, Women’s Volleyball – Senior YiZhi Xue recorded a career-high 19 kills to go along with a season-high six blocks, while hitting .586 in Long Beach State's five-set victory over CSUN.

-- The Beach collected a clean sheet victory over the Highlanders, getting goals from Nadiyah Siqueiros and Sierra Castles in the win. Kaitlin Fregulia scored for LBSU at UC Irvine, but the Anteaters scored twice after halftime to pick up the Black & Blue Rivalry win.

Women’s Volleyball (7-13, 4-4 Big West)

Won vs. CSUN, 3-2 [26-24, 26-24, 25-27, 19-25, 15-13]

--The Beach used an all-around team effort to defeat CSUN in five sets. LBSU had three double-figure kill performances as well as a double-double from Carly Aigner-Swesey and two other double-digit dig performances.

Men's Water Polo (12-9, 1-1 GCC) 

Lost vs. No. 4 UCSB (11-10) 

--No. 7 Long Beach State fought to the end but couldn’t get the upset over conference rival UC Santa Barbara Saturday night. A late push came up just short for the Beach in an 11-10 loss at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

-- Freshman Nyah Chavez was the top finisher for the Beach as Long Beach State sent five women to compete at the Titan Invitational.

5th of 16 Teams

--Long Beach State shot 8-under par to place fifth of 16 teams at the Visit Stockton Pacific Intercollegiate as the Beach were led by senior Hunter Epson who was LBSU’s top finisher after firing a 66 in the final round for 6-under par. Epson finished in a tie for fifth place (72-72-66=210).
