Player of the Week: Adam Seminaris, Baseball – Adam Seminaris set a new career high with 14 strikeouts in just seven innings, picking up the win Friday night to help spark a series win over Xavier. Seminaris was the first Dirtbag since Jered Weaver in April of 2004 to record 14 strikeouts in a game.

Jordan Griffin had a memorable Senior Night, as Long Beach State’s lone senior led the team in scoring with 18 points with season highs in rebounding and steals in a crucial 80-73 overtime win.
Women’s Basketball (13-16, 8-8)
Won vs. Cal State Fullerton, 52-49
Won vs. UC Davis, 66-57
The Beach snapped a four-game losing streak and closed the regular season with back-to-back wins over Cal State Fullerton and Big West Conference-leading UC Davis. Justina King and Cydnee Kinslow led the way averaging 17.5 and 11.5 points per game, respectively.
No. 4 Men’s Volleyball (10-1)
Won vs. Lindenwood, 3-0 [25-20, 25-20, 25-23]
Long Beach State has now won its sixth-straight match and has hit .300 or higher in seven contests this season. Junior setter Carlos Rivera led a balanced offense with Spencer Olivier hitting .474 on the night with 11 kills.

The Dirtbags continued their strong homestand taking the series against Xavier to move to 10-5 and open the season 10-4 at home. Adam Seminaris struck out 14 batters in 7 innings on Friday night as Long Beach defeated Xavier 8-4.
Softball (12-11), Louisville Slugger Invitational
Lost vs. No. 18 Minnesota, 3-2 (8)
Lost vs. No. 22 UCF, 6-1
Won vs. San Diego State, 8-0 (5)
Kellie White struck out 14 in a pair of complete games, taking a close loss in extra innings against No. 18 Minnesota on an unearned run before a complete game shutout of San Diego State.
No. 15 Women’s Water Polo (12-6, 1-0)
Won vs. No. 10 UC San Diego, 6-4
In a defensive battle, the Beach held UC San Diego to one goal in the first half in a 6-4 Big West opening victory. Sarah Barker scored three goals to pace the Beach and Eirini Patras was stellar in the cage with eight saves and three steals.
Women’s Tennis (7-4, 3-1 Big West)
Lost vs. Loyola Marymount, 4-0
Won vs. Cal State Fullerton, 6-1
LBSU went 1-1 last week and earned a dominating Big West Conference win over Cal State Fullerton as the Beach won every game in two sets, with the exception of the battle at No. 2 in which the Beach fell in three. Natalia Munoz led the way with a 6-1, 7-6 win at singles and a 6-2 victory at doubles with teammate Zara Lennon.

Lost to No. 15 South Carolina, 3-2
Won at No. 9 Pepperdine, 3-2
Lost at No. 8 Loyola Marymount, 3-2
Lost vs. No. 10 Stetson, 3-2
Long Beach State went 1-4 last week, but kept things competitive as the Beach battled five Top 15 programs on the road. LBSU showed its resiliency bouncing back and defeating No. 9 Pepperdine on the Waves’ home court as Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs outlasted the Waves top pair, 21-18, 15-21, 18-16 at No. 1.

Cole Bosley had an impressive Long Beach State debut, winning the 800m with a PR of 1:53.28 as Long Beach State once again hosted the Beach Opener, boasting its largest field yet.
