The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced a significant drop in Part 1 (violent & property) crimes for 2017. Total Part 1 crime was down 7.9 percent from 2016.
Player of the Week: Gabe Levin, Men’s Basketball – Senior Gabe Levin scored a career-high 29 points against CSUN, and again led the team with 18 points at UC Riverside as the Beach went 2-0 on the week. Levin averaged 23.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game over the two games.
