1,200 LBPD Meals Donated

OFFICERS AND STAFF at the Long Beach Police Department were the recipients of 1,186 meals donated by Don Temple Storage and The Grand Event Center throughout this week. Above, Patrol Bureau Secretary Amber Hamel receives a stack of gourmet salads from Jim Choura, left, CEO of The Grand, and Dan D’Sa, vice president of The Grand. Temple Storage owner Sumer Temple said “My father, Don Temple, was a proud, long-standing Honorary LBPOA member. Our family is honored to carry on his legacy of giving back to our community and to offer support to our frontline workers during these challenging times.” The Temple family has also supported AIDS Food Store Long Beach and Long Beach Rescue Mission in the recent months. The Don Temple Family Charitable Foundation has also donated meals to the Ronald McDonald House, as well as donations to the local Food Finders and Meals on Wheels.
