PROPERTY OWNERS, developers and Long Beach city officials celebrate the groundbreaking of the 2nd & PCH retail development project during a ceremony on Feb. 1. The more than 200,000 square-foot shopping center being developed by El Segundo-based CenterCal Properties in partnership with longtime site owner Raymond Lin of TakiSun, Inc. is expected to open in late summer 2019 on a site once occupied by the SeaPort Marina Hotel. The new shopping center anchored by Whole Foods at 2nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway will include second-story restaurant views of Alamitos Bay.
