Budget Shortfall

Leo Mitchell

So Long Beach is projecting a $9,300,000 million budget shortfall. I wonder if the $3,000,000 + fund to defend illegal immigrants or the approximately 200 city employees who received between $200,000 to $300,000 in pay last year has anything to do with it. One of the reasons for these huge paychecks is due to police and firefighters overtime pay.

A couple of the things the city fathers came up with to help make up for the shortfall is increasing parking fines again and reducing services. There’s nothing like extorting the citizens to make up for their fiscal incompetence.

I suppose this is what we can expect from a city that is completely controlled by Democrats and public sector unions. The city leaders can fool some of the voters some of the time but they fool most of the voters most of the time due to the voters’ ignorance.
