Coat for the Homeless

Beachcomber Movie Critic John Thomas, a resident of Long Beach and New York City, snapped this photo of his sister, Karen Hilburn of Long Beach, donating a fur coat to a NYC homeless woman, Ana, on 42nd Ave. near Grand Central Station on Dec. 27. Ana hugged the coat, then hugged Karen. The northeastern section of the United States has experienced freezing temperatures for the past two weeks.
