Colorado Lagoon

THE PORT OF LONG BEACH has offered to pay $26.3 million to finance construction of an open channel between Marine Stadium and the Colorado Lagoon in exchange for future mitigation credits. If the plan is approved by the City Council, work performed within the dotted lines would include bridges at Eliot and Colorado Streets, allow for better water circulation with the ocean and be completed in 2022.
