Day of Beauty

Laser Skin Care Center offers its fourth annual Day of Beauty event that will take place on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 3828 Schaufele Ave., Suite 300, Long Beach. Registration is open now.

Even better than the lively scene that attendees look forward to each year, Day of Beauty provides several opportunities to learn valuable dermatology and skincare-related knowledge through nontraditional methods, such as live demonstrations, presentations from different brand + product representatives, engaging Q&A discussions with LSCC’s expert physicians and aestheticians and more.

To RSVP call (562) 384-4442.

Software Piracy

Today’s international crime doesn’t always mean taking physical possession, but rather the theft of intellectual property. Few people understand this better than trial attorney and former state and federal prosecutor Craig Missakian. During Missakian’s 15 years in law enforcement, he earned national and international attention for successful prosecutions that included terrorism and environmental crimes, software piracy, organized crime and public corruption.

The community is invited to hear Missakian speak on these topics at the Saturday, June 8, Long Beach Republican Women Federated breakfast meeting. Held at the Long Beach Airport Marriott, 4700 Airport Plaza Drive, registration starts at 9 a.m. with breakfast served at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $30 per member and $35 for non-members – includes free parking and a plated breakfast.
