700 block Gaviota Ave., At 12:45 a.m. bullet casings found, no victims, structures or vehicles struck.

1900 block Lime Ave., At approximately 1:30 a.m. LBPD locates casings in alley to the rear of location, no victims located, no buildings hit and no indication this was gang related.

3400 block E. Artesia Blvd. In 11 p.m. hour an armed robbery to business by two men, one armed with handgun, stole money from register, both wearing face masks.

605 Fwy. at Willow St. Vehicle fire on freeway shoulder; occupants exited vehicle, freeway temporarily closed.

April 30

PCH at Harbor Ave., 11 p.m. vehicle and big rig truck collide.

April 29

4141 Norse Way Noon hour, second alarm fire in attic at a closed Chinese restaurant (may have been open for take-out orders).

1300 block MLK Ave. At 8 a.m. hour, shooting to unoccupied parked vehicles, casings found and two parked vehicles had shattered windows. PD believes this shooting is related to April 28 MLK/NY St. shooting

April 28

5500 E. Spring St., At approximately 11:30 p.m. vandalism, storefront window broken at Gatsby bookstore. PD PIO says reason for incident unknown and item used to break the window unknown.

MLK Ave. at New York St., 11 p.m. hour, call re shots fired but no evidence of shooting. (See above re: April 29 shooting about 9 hours later.)

Artesia Blvd. at Butler Ave. At approximately 2:55 p.m. fatal collision between vehicle and pedestrian. PD’s preliminary investigation indicates vehicle driven by 61-year-old Bell Gardens woman eastbound on Artesia struck pedestrian (adult woman) outside marked crosswalk. Driver remained on scene, cooperated with investigation; neither alcohol, drugs or distracted driving deemed factors, driver had valid DL and proof of insurance, released at the scene.

April 26

Elm Ave/25th St., SWAT call out for barricaded suspect (taken into custody).

April 24

PCH/Gardenia LBPD vehicle pursuit in 10 a.m. hour ends in area but suspect runs, PD sets up containment perimeter, takes suspect into custody.

April 22

1400 block Chestnut Ave. Victim said suspect shot at him with handgun; PD says suspect confronted the victim before the shooting; suspect was a man (adult); PD investigating shooting as gang related.

1400 block Summit St., At approximately. 5:30 a.m. (roughly 2-3 blocks from 1500 W. 19th no hit shooting below), man is shot; gang unit notified and responds; investigation ongoing.

April 21

1500 block W. 19th St. approximately 11:15 p.m. casing and strike marks to an occupied home; no persons appeared hit (see April 22 shooting a little over six hours later).
