Hollywood Thinking

Actors, directors and most people in entertainment have a script that goes from beginning to middle to end. There’s a preset outcome and if they don’t like the ending they can change it to their liking. Reality isn’t like that and since many deal with fiction most of their lives in their job and in their lifestyle they can’t and won’t see anything else. They’ve been conditioned to concepts that they can control. They want things to be a certain way and they are adamant that they be that way.

Of course life isn’t like that but that doesn’t matter because they know what’s best and how things should be and they have the profile and money to press the issue. For instance, they are sure that illegal aliens should be treated with compassion.

What they won’t consider is that they have a great job, live in a great home with nannies, fences and gates and are far from immigrants of any kind except for those doing their landscaping, cleaning and nannying. They don’t have to deal with most of the yucky stuff because they have insulated themselves from it by their own lifestyle and omission of reality. Someone else pays their taxes, drives them past encampments, gets their dry-cleaning, walks the dogs, feeds the kids and on it goes. They simply don’t get it or want to because they don’t have to.
