Land Use and Design Elements Workshop

MORE THAN 700 PERSONS attended the community workshop on Land Use and Design Elements at Whaley Park on October 4, which filled the meeting room to capacity and into an outside tent. Long Beach Director of Development Amy Bodek spoke to the group of citizens who expressed concern for changing the character of their residential neighborhoods. Additional community input is being sought at community workshops planned for Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel, 6285 Pacific Coast Highway, and on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 6-8 p.m. at Scherer Park, 4600 Long Beach Boulevard, which is a location change from the previously announced Expo Arts Center.
