LBCC TURNS 90 – Former Long Beach City College President Beverly O’Neill accepts a gift from current LBCC Superintendent-President Reagan Romali during a 1920s-themed black-tie 90th Anniversary Celebration Gala at the college’s Liberal Arts Campus on Saturday evening, June 16. O’Neill, a former voice teacher and three-term mayor of Long Beach, was honored for her 32 years of service in education at the college, which was founded in 1928. Don Temple Storage/Don Temple Family Charitable Foundation was the event’s title sponsor and Cordoba Corporation was the diamond sponsor, among several other contributors at various levels. Proceeds from the party and fundraiser will support Long Beach College Promise Scholarships and other student programs.
