Player of the Week: Sarah Maher, Women’s Soccer – Junior defender Sarah Maher led the Beach on both sides of the ball in a 3-0 win over UC Riverside, the eighth shutout of the year for the Beach. Maher had two shots on target and scored the opener against the Highlanders.

The Beach hit .371 in Tuesday’s win over Fullerton, led by Emma Kirst at .800 hitting (8 kills on 10 swings) and Brooke Earkman at .500 (13 kills). In the loss at UCSB, Hailey Harward set a new career high with 20 kills.

Austin Stewart had a memorable game-winning goal to give the Beach an 11-10 sudden death overtime victory over UC San Diego Wednesday night. Austin Stevenson had back-to-back hat tricks against UCSB and Cal.
