Player of the Week: Cecily Wilson, Women’s Basketball – Cecily Wilson was named to the Lady Griz Classic All-Tournament Team after recording a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Montana. She was an integral part in helping the Beach win at Arizona after tallying 12 points against the Wildcats to go along with eight boards. She finished the week with 30 points, 24 rebounds, nine assists, seven steals and three blocks.

Men’s Basketball (4-6)

Lost at Arizona, 91-56

Lost vs. Fresno State, 106-70

Won vs. Stanford, 76-68

• Jordan Griffin led the Beach in scoring over the week, averaging 13.3 points per game, including a career-high 21 as Long Beach State defeated Stanford to claim two victories over Pac-12 opponents in one season for the first time in school history.

• Head coach Jeff Cammon recorded his first-career victory as the Beach recorded an 80-72 win at Arizona.
