Long Beach Treasures
Patti Balsillie, Chris Jackson and Susanne Milkes correctly guessed the Nov. 5 treasure location – the Lone Sailor Memorial at Ocean Blvd. and Paloma Avenue – and received prizes.
Rosemary Brinker, John Feriazzo, Doug Fleischer, Joel Fruehan, Shirley Hansen, Jake Jeffery, Lia Kakaris, Karen Kearney, Milagro Lansing, Agnes Knight, Karen Laurence, Mark Mcglothern, Jack Miller, Lynda Muenzer, Sondra Nash, Dennis Nishida, Linda Penrod, Susan Quint, Barbara Saposnek, Dennis Snyder, Carl Stevens, Joyce Wisdom and Gary Zimmerman also correctly guessed the treasure location and were entered in the drawing.
A few other entrants were disqualified due to missing address or phone information as required by contest rules.
If you correctly identify the location of where the photo was taken on page one of this edition, your entry will be among those entered in a drawing to receive tickets or a gift certificate from CSULB Athletics, McDonald’s, Aquarium of the Pacific, J&L Jewelry or other contest sponsors. Winners will receive their prize by mail within one week of the current issue date.
To be eligible, print your name, address and phone number on a letter-size (8.5” x 11”) piece of paper, along with your guess. Mail to: Long Beach Treasures, c/o Beachcomber, P.O. One entry per household; it must be received within 10 days of the photo’s publish date. We’ll announce the names of all correct entries and the contest winners in our next issue.
To become a Beachcomber contest sponsor, provide us with 12 gift certificates or gift cards with a minimum value of $25 each. Sponsors who also run a minimum of six display advertisements throughout the year will have their organization’s logo displayed on page one of every issue.
