Police Chase Ends in Fatalities

A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL WAS HELD Wednesday evening on Third Street at Temple Avenue after Jessica Bingaman and five dogs lost their lives in a five-car collision. A gang member in a van led Long Beach Police on a high-speed chase on Tuesday which ended in the Bluff Heights neighborhood when the suspect crashed into Bingaman’s car. Bingaman, a professional dog walker and six dogs were in the vehicle. Bingaman was taken to a hospital but did not survive her injuries. Five dogs died with one released to its owner. The suspect is being held without bail in Long Beach jail.
