Player of the Week: Hailey Harward, Women’s Volleyball – Sophomore Hailey Harward switched from libero to outside hitter against Hawai’i, recording a double-double with 12 kills and 16 digs in just her second match playing on the outside this season.

• The Beach rallied to take a 2-1 lead at Cal Poly on goals from freshmen Rola Badawiya and Makayla Soll, but the Mustangs came back for a 3-2 win.  

Women’s Volleyball (5-15, 2-5 Big West)

Lost vs. Hawai’i, 3-1

• The Beach was unable to build on a 25-16 win in set one against Hawai’i, as Redshirt junior Emma Kirst had five of her eight blocks in that opening set. Interestingly, LBSU’s last seven defeats have come in four-set matches.

Lost vs. No. 2 UCLA, 8-6

• Nemanja Bakic scored two goals against UCLA, while Jacob Fujioka netted two goals against Pepperdine.

Cross Country
at Highlander Invitational

• Senior George Martinez finishes in fourth place in the men's 6K with a personal best of 18:00.0.  LBSU takes eighth (163 pts.) among 13 teams.
• Redshirt junior Mikayla Florez places 11th in the women's 5K with a personal best of 17:47.8.  LBSU takes fifth (142) among 14 teams.
