Player of the Week: Joe Fryer, Men’s Golf – Senior Joe Fryer finished fourth at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, helping the Beach to a fourth place finish as a team. Fryer was 10-under for the tournament, led by a 6-under 65 in the second round, the best tournament round of his career.

— The Beach had seven different scores on the day, including Garrett Zaan, who now has extended his goal streak to eight consecutive games.

Won at CSU Bakersfield, 73-70 (Exhib.)
-- Long Beach State earned a 73-70 exhibition victory at Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, led by 17 points from junior guard Ron Freeman. Bakersfield native Jordan Roberts played well in his hometown, posting a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

at Big West Championships
-- Freshman Tyler Spencer was the top finisher for the men, earning All-Big West honors with an eighth place finish at the Big West Championships, leading the men to 5th place. The women’s team finished in 7th overall, led by Maruen Fitzsimmons.

--The Beach took fourth at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational over the weekend, representing the team’s best finish of the season. LBSU had four golfers finish at even par or better, led by Joe Fryer’s fourth place finish at 10-under.
Women’s Golf
at Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown
-- LBSU finished fourth at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown with a team score of 8-under for the tournament. Euna Pak and Maria Davis each shot 5-under to finish in a tie for 11th among individuals.
