This Week at Long Beach State

Player of the Week: Marta Alemany Sanchez, Women’s Soccer – Junior transfer Marta Alemany Sanchez made a tremendous debut in goal, making seven saves with a 1.00 Goals Against Average in the season opener against No. 4 UCLA.

Lost vs. No. 4 UCLA, 1-0

The Beach had their season opener at Arizona cancelled due to lightning, and instead opened the 2019 season against No. 4 UCLA on Sunday night. The game drew a record 2,303 fans to George Allen Field.
