Player of the Week: Jessica Flores, Softball – Senior Jessica Flores threw her first career no-hitter against Cal Poly, and also scored the winning run in a 1-0 victory. Flores hit .333 against the Mustangs, and gave up one hit in 10.0 innings pitched last week.

LBSU stranded 15 runners on base in Saturday’s extra-innings loss and scored just once on 10 hits in Sunday’s series finale.

-- Maria Mimidi and Virginia Smith both scored three goals as Long Beach State defeated No. 9 UC Davis to finish in third place at the Big West Tournament.

--The Beach closed out the season with an 11-10 overall record after dropping a 4-1 decision to Hawaii in the Big West Tournament Quarterfinals. Freshman Carlota Casasampere secured the lone point for the Beach with a 6-2, 6-1 singles victory.

-- Senior Rachel Nieto finished her career with 85 wins, the most in school history, while Sasha Karelov and Nele Barber reached the finals of the pairs championship on Sunday, giving Karelov a new single-season record with 29 wins in 2018.

-- Long Beach State won five events at the Steve Scott Invitational, with victories in the 4x100 relay, two sprints, and two field events in the final meet before the Big West Championships.
