Player of the Week: TJ DeFalco, Men’s Volleyball – tj helped lead Long Beach State to a pair of 3-0 wins last week as he hit .536 on the week after knocking down 15 kills on 28 swings without committing an error. His third kill against Stanford marked his 1,000th career kill as he became the 21st player in LBSU program history to reach that feat.

Men’s Basketball (12-12, 6-2 Big West)
Won at Cal Poly, 87-71
Won at CSUN, 70-66
Long Beach State has now won three straight games to move into first place in the Big West. 
 
Women’s Basketball (2-18, 0-6 BWC)
Lost vs. Cal Poly, 75-64
The Beach were led by freshman Shanaijah Davison (18 points) and senior Jessica Gertz (17 points) as the pair combined for 35 points in the loss.
 
No. 1 Men’s Volleyball (9-0)
Won vs. Stanford, 3-0 [25-13, 25-17, 25-14]
Won vs. No. 13 USC, 3-0 [25-22, 25-17, 25-16]
Long Beach State improved to 9-0 on the year to match the program’s best start in 10 years.
 
Women’s Tennis (1-0, 1-0 BWC)
Won vs. UC Riverside, 5-2
The Beach won five of six singles matches to open the dual match season.
 
Indoor Track And Field
at Air Force Invitational
The LBSU women won the team competition thanks to three event victories by Taylor Owen (800m), De’Ondra Young (weight throw) and Courtne’ Davis (60m).
