Whisper in the Walls Tour

AN ACTOR, Chris Graves, shows the rarely-seen Bembridge House attic to guests during a “Whisper in the Walls” tour Friday, Oct. 10. Attendees got to enter the turret’s “witches hat” as part of the 20-minute walk through the Queen Anne-style Victorian house the nights of Oct. 3, 4, 10 and 11. Actors wore costumes and played spooky roles as onlookers with glowing battery candles entered the various rooms of the grand mansion. Nearly 400 people bought tickets over the four days and money raised will pay for a new outside paint job and cover house bills, said Long Beach Heritage President Chris Hogan.
