The Rotary Club of Long Beach will be officially kicking off its centennial year on Wednesday noon, Jan. 25, aboard the Queen Mary. Guests will be treated to historical reflections of the past 100 years, a spotlight on the club’s current activities, as well as learning highlights of activities planned in the coming year.
Tickets are now on sale for Rick Rackers Auxiliary of Assistance League of Long Beach’s 2017 “Woman of the Year” luncheon honoring longtime philanthropist and realtor Tammy Newland. The event will take place on Friday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach. Tickets, which are available for purchase on or before Jan. 18 at allb.org, are $70 per person or $700 for a table of 10.
