Bring tear-tissues when you come to see this movie. Perhaps not a full box of Kleenex, but at least a travel-sized pack because you’ll be using them long before the closing scenes. Tissues are needed to mop up tears of joy from the happy scenes and those tears flowing from sadness.
We already know the story, but what we don’t know are the stories. With great tenderness and sensitivity, Perter Berg (director) takes us by the hand and leads us through the times before the Boston Marathon bombings, during the actual explosions and the aftermath.
There is always a line. A line between too far and not far enough. Between good and bad, enough and too much, tasteful and tasteless, funny and vulgar, old and new.
