Word up at the North Pole has it that Santa will be retrieving his extra-large sleigh from storage to pack the more than 900 gifts recently wrapped at Retirement Housing Foundation Headquarters and Bixby Knolls Towers in Long Beach.
Christmas came a little early at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach on Monday, Dec. 11 when members of the Long Beach Fire Department joined Santa to deliver gifts to patients throughout the hospital.
The Planning Commission unanimously voted to advance the Land Use Element maps, with recommended revisions, to the City Council. The recommendations, as a whole, lower the density further from what was proposed in the revised maps.
