The City Health Officer, Dr. Anissa Davis, has ordered all beaches in Alamitos Bay closed for recreational water contact due to a sewage spill. The cause of the spill is still under investigation.
All Long Beach Public Libraries will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 for the observance of Independence Day. All Libraries are closed on Mondays, per their normal schedule and will reopen on Wednesday, July 5.
