Thank you, Steve Downing, for continuing to post articles and information about what is the status quo in Long Beach. Sad. I have little to no faith in the integrity of our elected officials or their ability to lead. And, of course, ditto regarding many of our appointed city employees.

You see them hanging around the post office in Los Altos or pushing shopping carts full of junk up and down Bellflower Boulevard or camping in our parks and other places around town. They are the transients who usually do not have a job but instead have signs asking for free money.
It is no surprise that after three decades, Mitsubishi Motors of America has decided to relocate its North American headquarters from Cypress to Tennessee. California is hostile to business and welcoming to illegal aliens. The real surprise is that Mitsubishi waited this long to move.
